Claire Danes Debuts Baby on 2023 Golden Globes Red Carpet: My Pregnancy Wasn't 'Intentional’

Hot mama! Claire Danes debuted her baby bump on the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet — just one day after confirming she and husband Hugh Dancy are expecting their third child.

The Portlandia alum, 43, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series, Anthology Series of Motion Picture Made for Television for her role in Hulu’s Fleishman Is in Trouble, walked the carpet solo at the Tuesday, January 10, event, telling Access Hollywood's Mario Lopez that her pregnancy was "not intentional, but here we go!"

Danes showed off her growing belly in a floor-length white gown embroidered with flowers that cascaded down the skirt, leading to a bottom fringe. The ensemble, which had silver straps that crossed down the actress' back, also featured a pink bow on the chest, giving the look a maternal air.

A rep for Danes and Dancy, 47, confirmed to People on Monday, January 9, that the Family Stone actress was pregnant with baby No. 3.

The My So-Called Life alum and the Hannibal star — who also share two sons, Cyrus, 10, and Rowan, 4 — met on the set of their film Evening in 2006 before tying the knot three years later.

“I was very recently single, and I had never been single before, so we were just friends for a while,” Danes told Marie Claire in February 2017. “[Hugh and I] met in Rhode Island when it was at its most audaciously beautiful, in the fall. And there was one day when we were bicycling by the water and it was sparkly and idyllic, and I just had this dumb epiphany, like, ‘I’m really just happy.’”

Dancy, for his part, has often joked about the twosome finding love after the Homeland alum had a “one-night stand” with an “inadequate lover.”

“It was kind of in the moment [when] she was single, I was single, and we were both clearly thinking about it,” he explained on SiriusXM’s The Michelle Collins Show in May 2020. “She was also thinking, I suppose, as one often does, ‘Well, do I want to jump back into another relationship?’ She had just come out of one.”

In June 2012, Danes referred to Dancy as “my husband, my love, my life, my baby daddy” while accepting an Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Homeland. Three months later, the couple welcomed Cyrus. In August 2018, they became proud parents of two little ones when the New York native gave birth to Rowan.

“Pretty soon I get to retire for a little while and just be pregnant, which I look forward to,” Danes said at an FYC event when she was expecting baby No. 2 before filming the final season of Homeland. “It feels like a huge luxury. When I was pregnant with my first son, I worked until I was in my eighth month, so this feels like a huge gift, to have a chance to kick my feet up a little bit.”
